The weather is still good in here: dry and sunny! So everyone is in the street!
Well, now i found out that the city (like any city) is divided in different neibourghoods that have their own population, codes and architecture!
For instance while i walked in the NW of the city i found out that there were many men around me wearing the jewish kippah... But before i found any hebraic writing on buildings or synagogues , i was already in a wealthy area, full of huge skyscrapers and luxury boutiques.
I notinced that the rich in Buenos Aires like at least two things:
- Security: there are guards inside all the buildings (at night they seem like golden fishes in a jar)
- Dogs: mainly golden retrievers! There are people whose job is to take for a walk dogs! One can see these people with 6 or 7 beautifuls dogs walking around parks!
Besides, i noticed a guy today, in the merchant artery of Florida, making soapy bubbles with a little machine!!!
An intersting area in here is San Telmo... It´s maybe the only place where cars are not roaring in the streets! Buildings are old and low and architecture is close to Spanish'.
I tried to bike a while in the streets, only to find out that it´s very risky and polluted! It´s also amazing that almost all the streets are one way streets!
Buenos Aires is not expensive what about accommodation.. However, beers are not as good/cheap as in Ceska Republika... A Brazilian i met could not believe it!
Anyway, i leave the capital friday evening for Rio Gallegos (2000 Km away). There, real things will start!
I hope to be able soon to release photos... But before, let me quote a nice sentence i remarked on a wall today:
"Vive con pasión cada instante de tu vida.
Sé feliz, Sueña y juntos construiremos un futuro distinto"
